Come meet the ‘mishpocha’, the family, the kin. These are just three members of the wide and numerous clan descended from Harry and Estelle Hyman, my maternal great-grandparents. Hilary, Aunt Weene, and Bubbe are the main co-creators behind the documentary. However this documentary is the generational work of my entire family and could not have been accomplished without their support.
Hilary Bender
Hilary is my mother’s first cousin, and Aunt Weene’s youngest daughter. She is the mother of Emory and Izabella Bender, and dog mom to Ginger and Stella.
Aunt Weene
Edith “Weene” Lehman is my great aunt, the third daughter of Harry and Estelle Hyman. She is mother to four, grandmother to eight, and great-grandmother to two.
Bubbe Judy
Arlene “Judy” Feldstein is my Bubbe (grandmother), the second daughter of Harry and Estelle Hyman. She is mother to four, grandmother to eight, and “Dubbe” or double Bubbe to two great-grandchildren.
